Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competes within the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sport career with a Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals with a the unanimous vote. Antonina then followed up with took home a silver in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's fight for her final title took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She took victory by the unanimous verdict. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was able to win the second-round TKO fight as well as her two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped for a few minutes from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa via unanimous decision and she then beat Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina Shevchenko defeated Nievera thanks to her impressive strike power in the clinch by her knees against her body. After this win, Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina was given an UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but lost her subsequent fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina returned from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian, but she won Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
